Alberta Employment Opportunities
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) offers three distinct streams for foreign workers either living and working in Alberta or intending to do so:

Alberta Opportunity Stream: This stream is open to qualified candidates who are currently employed in Alberta and possess a job offer from an Alberta-based employer. Successful applicants can apply for an AAIP nomination through this route.

Alberta Express Entry Stream: Qualified candidates with profiles in the federal Express Entry pool, aligned with specific criteria and provincial economic priorities, may receive invitations to apply for nomination under this stream. It also includes specialized pathways for healthcare professionals and technology workers.

Rural Renewal Stream: Communities seeking designation can recruit and endorse qualified candidates under this stream. Temporary foreign workers with job offers from employers in designated communities, along with an endorsement letter from the community, are eligible to apply for an AAIP nomination. Additionally, communities can endorse eligible refugees under the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) with the assistance of non-governmental referral partners.

Alberta Entrepreneurial Opportunities
The AAIP offers four distinct streams for entrepreneurs aspiring to reside in Alberta and establish or acquire businesses within the province:

Rural Entrepreneur Stream

Entrepreneurs aiming to initiate or purchase a business in a rural Alberta community can express their interest in this stream.

Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

International graduates from approved Alberta post-secondary institutions seeking to establish or acquire a business can submit an Expression of Interest through this stream.

Farm Stream

Experienced farmers intending to purchase or commence farming operations in Alberta are eligible to apply for nomination under this stream.

Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

Foreign graduates holding degrees from post-secondary institutions outside of Canada, aiming to launch innovative start-up enterprises, can collaborate with designated agencies to submit an Expression of Interest.
