Understanding Post-Graduation Work Permits
Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWPs) offer international students who’ve completed a Canadian program of study the flexibility to work for any employer across Canada, without restrictions on hours. These permits, with durations spanning from eight months to three years, provide a crucial avenue for gaining valuable Canadian work experience. The experience accumulated during the PGWP period becomes a significant asset, creating opportunities for individuals to explore pathways leading to Canadian permanent residence. This bridge between education and work in Canada not only enhances one’s professional growth but also serves as a strategic step in the immigration journey.

PGWP Extension

For PGWP extension or changes in conditions, a paper application is required. Extension is only possible if your passport expires before the PGWP’s validity period, as noted in the initial PGWP. Conditions may need modification if additional documents, such as a medical exam, are necessary after the initial application.
