With education and work experience meeting job requirements outlined in the NOC, candidates, even those with experience gained outside Yukon, can qualify. A high school diploma, at least one year of related work experience, and alignment with NOC criteria are key prerequisites.

Critical Impact Worker Stream:
Tailored to address the demand for semi-skilled occupations (NOC C or D), this stream aids employers in sponsoring workers. While a job offer from a Yukon employer is necessary, candidates are not obligated to be present in Yukon during the application phase. Education and work experience aligning with NOC criteria, a high school diploma, and a minimum of six months of related work experience for the offered position are vital.

Yukon Community Program:
Crafted for employers in Yukon communities, this program prioritizes flexibility to cater to the seasonal nature of employment. Focused on retention and economic growth outside Whitehorse, it welcomes simultaneous employment in two or three jobs. Designed for small- to medium-sized Yukon community businesses, including those in Whitehorse, this program is an avenue for employers to demonstrate why other YNP streams may not meet their specific needs.

Yukon Business Nominee:
For seasoned entrepreneurs with a vision, the Yukon Business Nominee program beckons. Aimed at those seeking to start a new business, partner with an existing venture, or acquire and operate a business in Yukon, applicants must be prepared for a substantial investment in their Yukon-based enterprise.
