Provincial Immigration Strategies
The BC PNP contributes to the strategic goals of British Columbia by employing various tools to select and prioritize applicants. The program may issue targeted invitations for specific occupations, ensuring program integrity and nominee success.

Empowering Regional Communities
Acknowledging unique economic challenges faced by communities outside the Metro Vancouver Regional District, BC aims to distribute economic growth across the province. The Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot facilitates participating communities in attracting entrepreneurs for local economic development priorities. Skills Immigration aids regional employers in retaining workers, fostering growth beyond the Metro Vancouver Regional District.

Fulfilling Critical Needs in Key Sectors
Recognizing crucial needs in healthcare, childcare, and veterinary care, BC prioritizes occupations in these sectors. The program facilitates the recruitment and retention of healthcare staff, ensuring seamless access to healthcare services. In the construction sector, certified workers in specific occupations take precedence to address the priority of meeting residential housing demand.

Tech Sector Support
BC PNP Tech plays a pivotal role in supporting the technology sector by enabling the recruitment and retention of international talent in tech occupations. Since its launch in May 2017, BC PNP Tech has nominated over 6,000 tech workers for permanent residence.
