IRCC held back-to-back bi-weekly ‘no program specified’ Express Entry draws and the good news is that the CRS cutoff score finally again drops to near 500.
Similarly, we saw a significant drop in the CRS cutoff score in the August 15 ‘no program specified’ Express Entry draw, but the absence of a draw after then increased the CRS cutoff beyond the 530.
Hopefully, IRCC now continues with regular Express Entry draws and we see the CRS cutoff below 500 in the upcoming round of invitations.
On September 8, 2023, IRCC added more occupations to the list of occupations eligible for 50 additional CRS points with a certificate of qualification.

The IRCC also introduced its first-ever skilled trades draw last month, targeted at 10 select occupations with the lowest cutoff score of 388.
